Climate change is a change in our longterm patterns caused by a warming of the average global temperature. This warming is caused by an increase in the overall amount of greenhouse gasses in the atmosphere. Gasses like carbon dioxide and methane. These gases trap heat that comes from the sun, preventing it from being reflected back into space.
Climate change is a threat to us as a species. It has the potential to destroy the homes of millions, to disrupt or severely damage our food production, and to wreak havoc on ecosystems around the world. Only by halting our emission of CO2 and reabsorbing greenhouse gasses can we stop climate change
